xdhdq: demonstration of the XDHTML technology

:!: This page is currently under construction and may not be accurate !

Introduction

xdhdq is an application based on the Epeios framework which demonstrates the use of the XDHTML technology. As an XDHTML based application, it can be deployed as a native application, or a web one. As a Epeios application, it should have a backend, which contains all the processing stuff, but as this application focuses on the XDHTML technology, there is only a frontend.

This frontend is called xdhdqxdh and has its own dedicated page.

Use

As stated, this application is only a demonstration of the XDHTML technology, so it does nothing useful. But you see can some of the capabilities of this technology, and the way it is implemented, by looking at the content of the package available in the download section, or directly at the source repository of this application (both links at the end of this page).

The first screen (also only available when launched as native application) allows to load a project, a predefined or a user one (stored in a file). Due to triviality of the application, there is very few interest in creating a project for it, but this screen is left as an example. Keep the default value (New) and proceed.

The second screen (only available when launched as native application) allows to choose a backend. Due to purpose of the application, it has no backend, so keep the default choice (None) and proceed. Again, but this screen is left as an example.

You are now on the main screen (available for both the native and the web version of the application). The most interesting part are the fields which allow to type data of different type. Click on the label of a field to edit its content.

CTRL-SHIFT-A displays an About… box (in some web browse, it acts not as desired).
